Can I return to research after a break?

I have a master's degree in cell biology from the U.S. and one years experience in quality control in a contract manufacturing organization of biotechnology in Canada. Can I re-do the research work in the bank after breaking my 1.5 years? It will be a university laboratory technician hire me?

While you are up to date with new procedures, guidleines methods and I do not see why not.
